Please join us for our NEW meditation class on Monday evenings, beginning September 11th, when we will explore what Modern Buddhism is and how we can incorporate these ancient, life-changing teachings in our day to day lives in an easy, relevant and inspiring way.
This class is unique because, week by week, we will explore these Buddhist topics systematically by following the presentation of the book How to Transform your Life which is Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s newest text. Through approaching each week with this structure, it will allow students to begin to understand the wide scope and depth of Buddha’s teachings and how each aspect of Buddhism helps us reduce our negative states of mind and discover a sustainable source of contentment and peace from within.
Our Monday evening Buddhist meditation class will comprise of:
- Readings from and commentary to How to Transform Your Life from an experienced Kadampa Buddhist teacher
- Meditation instruction and time to enhance meditation
- Encouragement and inspiration on how to incorporate Buddhist philosophy into your life so you can solve your own problems
- Small group discussion as well as big group Q & A with teacher
Weekly Monday evening classes and guided meditations are suitable for both beginners and more experienced meditation practitioners. Although each class is self-contained, when taken in series, these classes will constitute an extraordinary journey as we improve our human nature by following these simple and clear instructions.
