Empathy & Emptiness: A Special Mini-Retreat
Based on exquisite and powerful teachings Resident Teacher, Kyle Davis, will lead a half-day retreat on understanding empathy and emptiness. Buddhist teachings on emptiness, the true nature of things, help us to dissolve the barrier between self and other that makes us feel isolated, independent, and separate from other living beings.
Our ability to let go of our self-centered view of the world and understand the experience of others, otherwise known as compassion, is fundamental to finding fulfillment and meaning in our life. Join us for an enjoyable exploration of these ideas and gain practical tools on how to grow your experience of letting go of your ordinary sense of self—and embrace the warmth and joy of identifying with and connecting to others.
Each session will consist of a short teaching and guided meditations that lead us inwards, towards understanding and experience.
No prior experience needed nor any need to bring anything. Everyone welcome!
